Generel information
Welcome to Abid Javed website and online shop. These terms and conditions apply to any purchase made from abidjaved.org. When placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions. Please carefully read the terms and conditions before placing your order.
Orders
Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation of your order by email. Please note that this is not the final order confirmation. The order is not binding until it is approved by Abid Javed. You will receive an order and shipping confirmation with estimated time of delivery by email. If, for any reason, Abid Javed is unable to fulfill your order, you will be informed at the earliest opportunity. If Abid Javed has already received payment for such order, the corresponding amount will be refunded using the same method used to make the payment. If, for any reason, alternative arrangements are necessary, you will be contacted to settle the refund.
Prices and payment
Abid Javed online shop accepts the following payment methods:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal.
All prices are indicated in GBP. Delivery charge or local customs fee, tax and duties are not included. Please note that if your order is placed outside the EU you may not have to pay the UK sales tax/VAT, which could be refunded from the UK authorities, but you may have to pay additional customs fee, tax and duties in the country of destination. Abid Javed is not responsible for these or for any fees charged by customs. The carrier will contact you in case of any extra charges or customs clearance. This might delay the delivery. Please be advised that it is your responsibility to pay for these extra charges and to get the refund of the UK sales tax/VAT from the UK authorities.
Delivery and shipping
All pieces available for purchasing at abidjaved.org are made to order unless otherwise stated. Please expect a lead time of 4-8 weeks to build, dry, fire and ship your order. For larger orders, the lead time can be up to 10 weeks. If you are interested in receiving a quote for estimated delivery time and costs please contact a.javed2do@gmail.com
Abid Javed online shop offers worldwide shipping. You can also collect your purchase in London, UK to avoid shipping costs. Please email a.javed2do@gmail.com to arrange a visit and collection.
Returns and refunds
Return of your purchase may be made within 14 days of receiving a piece purchased directly through abidjaved.org. If you wish to return a piece, it must be undamaged, unused and clean. Please email a.javed2do@gmail.com before sending your piece back to confirm you are doing so.
You must return the item in the original packaging. You should also make sure that the item is properly wrapped when you return it. The costs associated with the return will be covered by you. The item must be shipped no later than 14 days after you have notified that you wish to cancel your purchase. Your refund will be credited to the same card used to make the original purchase. Private commissions and custom-made pieces cannot be returned or refunded.
Defects and complaints
The goods are insured in transit. Please verify the package and content upon receipt. In case of damaged items in transit, please email a.javed2do@gmail.com within 24 hours of receiving the package with attached evidence photos. In case of a complaint or an order not delivered, please contact a.javed2do@gmail.com
Colour and shape
All ceramic pieces are made by hand by Abid Javed in his studio located in Hackney, London, UK. Each piece is carefully crafted with precision and personality and is one of a kind. By its nature, it is organic, imperfect and unique. No two pieces are exactly the same and small variations in form, colour and finish will occur between pieces.
Every effort is made to ensure colours appear as realistic as possible. However, due to the constraints of digital reproduction on different web browsers, the exact colour depiction cannot be guaranteed.
Care and use
To care for your ceramic piece, please hand rinse your pieces. They are not dishwasher safe. Stoneware is a semi-porous material, so to prevent sweating and condensation on a surface, please allow the piece to dry out for at least a full day before refilling with water between uses. Stoneware pieces must be handled delicately to ensure that the items remain undamaged. Abid Javed is not responsible for broken pieces from mishandling. Depending on the surface you intend to place the ceramic piece on, you may wish to attach felt to the bottom of a sculpture. Abid Javed is not responsible for marks left on surfaces that vessels may leave due to the textured surface.
Security
Abid Javed is committed to protecting your privacy. All information provided by you is received securely through SSL and will not be disclosed to any unauthorised third parties.
Governing law
The agreement to sell and purchase items from abidjaved.org shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom, excluding the conflict of law rules.
